Hayya is a free Islamic prayer app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is used.

Data We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Hayya does not have user accounts, analytics, tracking, or advertising.

Location Data

Hayya requests access to your device's location to:

Calculate accurate prayer times for your area
Determine the Qibla (direction to Makkah) from your position

Your location is processed entirely on your device and through third-party prayer time APIs (Aladhan). Your coordinates are sent to these APIs solely to retrieve prayer times — they are not stored by us or linked to any identity.

Local Storage

Hayya stores your preferences (calculation method, notification settings, theme) locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device.

Third-Party Services

Aladhan API — receives your coordinates to return prayer times. See their privacy policy at aladhan.com/privacy-policy.
Sentry — receives anonymous crash reports (no personal data) to help us fix bugs. No location, name, or device identifiers are included.

Children's Privacy

Hayya does not knowingly collect any data from children. The app does not collect data from anyone.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
